My Cozy Spot!

Wanted to add a cozy spot for expressions!!

Thought I'd stop by for a moment to chat. Today I was thinking of wise women and two in particular came to mind: my Mom, and Maya Angelou. I miss them both but especially my Mom. Fortunately, Maya has so many books and acalades to remember her by, Mom never wrote a book but their wisdom lives in the people whose lives they touched. My mother, Mandy, was one of the most genuine persons I've ever known. She shared her wisdom openly, passionately, asking nothing more in return except that you learn from what life had taught her. I hung

on her every word, whether we saw eye to eye on an issue or not. I have a great respect for wisdom and an even greater respect for her. Once, I had the opportunity of attending one of Maya Angelou's lectures at Emory University. I watched her stand behind the podium, she was regal, tall, strong, and a master of

of words, wisdom and experiences...I hung on her every word. I stood taller and felt stronger as she wrapped up her lecture receiving a standing ovation. I was just thinking today, there are so many wise women among us that we truly need to pay closer attention to while they are still here. There are valuable conversations to be had! Maya said, "A wise woman wishes to be no one's enemy; a wise woman refuses to be anyone's victim." A person who wishes to be no one's enemy has and is doing a great deal of investing in their spirituality. They have enough common sense to know that no matter how descrete or crafty they might be in having agendas, God sees and knows all! Therefore, it becomes critical to walk the walk and talk the talk beyond what man can see. In that spirituality, one learns who to trust, ask, and lean on and by doing so, is less likely to be victimized or become a

victim. So today, it is my prayer, that we focus less on the sizes of our boobs, butts,

bank accounts, cars, home, how many heads of men we can turn, and go inward to where our beauty truly is so we can be women of substance, depth, inspiration, wisdom and the rainbow in somebody's cloud by being kind and genuine, That's my personal agenda, from my personal thoughts.
