I'm a published author, and I've been writing all my life. I am currently working on about 7 other books. My next project will be a series of children's books. I love nature, learning, music, writing, singing, people, sun shine and beaches! After the children's book series has been published, I plan to work on another book of poetry, short stories and essays. I am an artistic being! My first love, is singing! I began singing in church before I became the pianist for the junior and senior choir of my church. After acquiring more choirs, at one point, I played piano a bit more than I sang. For most of my live performances, I prefer the accompaniment of a pianist and band which provides more vocal flexibility. I love the freedom and interaction with audiences-the connection is phenomenal! Often I feel more comfortable on stage in front of an audience than one on one or smaller settings. In live performances, I'm undeniably me-uplifted, open, and giving. It's my passion! I love most genres of music and artists. Early influences: *Aretha Franklin, Nancy Wilson, Natalie Cole, Gladys Knight. Patti LaBelle--all of the greats! Then came Chaka Khan, Carol King, Celine Dion, *Whitney Houston,*Anita Baker, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu,*Rachelle Ferrell, seriously I just have to stop because my list of music and artists I love is endless. At one time or another, I had the pleasure of performing songs by these artists and many others as part of my repertoire. For this music connoisseur, live performances provides an electrifying experience-a stage, a spotlight, a microphone and an audience! Simply a wonderful, fulfilling experience!!
